Welcome!

My name is Andrea, and I am a rookie runner!

Funny thing, but I used to hate running! I have asthma as well, but it's not too bad now. Anyways, I don't use it as my excuse. Especially after meeting someone who was a record holder for state in high school, and he had asthma. It doesn't matter! I run to make myself stronger inside and out.

My most amazing friend ever introduced me to running- and got me hooked. What do I love about it? I'm competitive- and there's nothing better. That's not the main reason though. I run because you can see results- not only physically, but I can tell every-time I run further than I did the last time. When I can laugh at three miles, and keep running until I can only stop and grin at my accomplishment. Because there's no better feeling than being completely exhausted, panting, sweaty, and completely liberated because you know you pushed yourself, and achieved more than you thought you could the day before. When you can tune into what you're thinking, and force yourself to let your body take over. To finally stop thinking... that's my biggest challenge. But I am always accepting of a challenge :)

To keep things short, this is my blog I'll use to track my accomplishments, challenges, and achievements. I've been volunteering at the PF Chang's for about 4 or so years, and last year I remember telling myself that I would be the one running in that half marathon. The only thing stopping me now is money...and I'm working to get that obstacle out of the way! If you want to sponsor me, or make a donation, please do! It's going to be my first 1/2 marathon, and it's going to be the best memory of my life!! I need to raise $105 if I can get signed up before September.

Please subscribe, favorite, and keep in touch! Join me and your fellow runners- the most welcoming, exciting, determined, and challenging group of friends you will ever have.

Love,
Andrea

P.S.
My ultimate favorite thing about running is the fact that you, yourself, are the inspiration to those who see you.
